Ava Grey: Founder

My name is Ava Grey. I’m 17 years old and a senior at Lincoln High School. I grew up around the luxury wedding industry—my mom and uncle plan beautiful events all over the world, and I’ve been lucky to help them along the way.

After every celebration, I noticed that all the gorgeous flower arrangements ended up in the trash. That led me to wonder and sparked an idea: what if those flowers could carry warmth and hope to someone else instead?”

That’s how Bloom was born. After weddings, parties, and galas, I collect leftover centerpieces, rearrange them into small bouquets using cereal bowls I personally buy, and deliver them to local transitional housing for mothers and children rebuilding their lives. When the flowers fade, the bowls are donated for future use.

Through Bloom, I aim to combine beauty and compassion, to turn something that might have ended up wasted into something meaningful, reflecting my commitment to sustainable practices, community engagement, and leveraging existing resources to uplift others. It’s a small act—but one I believe can bring a smile and a moment of brightness in someone’s day.
